just a few pics from the new cams

Willa sort of helping me with laundry

Scantily clad children refusing to go to bed

This was the first time that we walked in after a nap to find that she can now pull herself up in her crib. Willa was quite pleased with herself.

This is Rich sporting a homemade sling from the first aid station after a skier cut him off and he fell snowboarding and heard "something" pop. The Docs say nothing is broken, but between the pain and not being able to have full range of motion in that arm there are more doc visits in his future. This photo has a I'm a journalist who has just been held captive and escaped during a gunfight feel to it. I like it, except for the whole my husband actually being hurt part.

Monday night it snowed a little bit, but by Tuesday when we finally busted our sled out all that was left was a layer of frozen leaves. Which as it turned out, was not too bad for sledding... if you have the standards of a 4 year old. I took Willa on the sled a few times and she could have cared less. That gals such a stoic, or maybe she was just half frozen seeing as sub-arctic temperatures have come to town.

I've been wanting to get Jonas' hair cut ever since he got The Bowl a few months ago, but getting things done these days is not my strong point. With Rich being out of town though, I'm actually board enough to get a few things crossed off my list. So tonight we bundled up and headed to Le Flemme in Harvard Sq. The place has mixed reviews, but it's been open since 1898 (so it can't be all that bad right?), it's rated the best barbershop in the country according to Playboy, and apparently Joe Kennedy killed the deer on the wall, so it has charm. Although it wasn't my hair getting cut, I'd totally recommend this place, just for the antique barber chairs, the lovely foreignness of a Greek accent, and the never ending supply of lolly pops for the hesitant customer.

So I finally gave in and got a smart phone. After dropping my old phone in water and having it constantly make noises all through the night, it was any easy decision. By far the camera has been the primary function of this new phone, mostly due to the fact that I haven't figured out how to work this big hunk of technology that fits in my palm. But back to the camera, it's not that great. I'll also willingly admit that my photo skills are questionable, but whichever is the case, I rather enjoy the pictures that it/I make. I never would have thought that Willa had a future on Star Trek or as the exorcist. For the record she was happy when I took the picture.

  1. Leslie, for the record, you're a great photographer with either camera, you have adorable children, are an excellent blog writer, and I look forward to Willa's career in film :) Just a comment from a usually silent reader who enjoys your posts.
