So I know we've had papaya before but this one is different, or so I thought. Yeah, it's Brazilian instead of Mexican (the larger kind), but besides it's name and size I couldn't figure out anything on this piece of produce. We went ahead and ate it but it wasn't too exciting.
day 140: Brazilian papaya SEEDS
Yesterdays search did prove fruitful, haha, I found a few websites that mentioned that the seeds were edible, describing them as peppery. Seeking a little more excitement than yesterday, we decided to go for it. I know this picture makes them look pretty and exotic, but they're quite scary when you're about to eat them. As it turns out they are indeed peppery. Rich thought it tasted like licorice. I would have to say floral wood with tiny burst of pepper.
