day twenty-two

pimento cheese...homemade pimento cheese. Abby, a friend from work, made this southern concoction of cheese,mayo, pimentos, salt, and pepper. Really,really good.

For the record, I've had pimento cheese before, not homemade though. Trust me don't eat the store bought stuff, ever. This was Rich's first time, so that makes today semi-legit. "It was good. I liked it."

So the whole point of this new years resolution was to be adventurous and maybe learn a thing or two. Well today I learned that I've been pronouncing this delicacy wrong my whole life. Before starting to blog I thought I would look up what "palmintos" were all about -- I couldn't find anything. Not even close enough for google to correct my spelling. So, technically today was my first time having pimento cheese.


I would like to acknowledge Abby for making and sharing the cheese and Rich for his hand modeling.
