Today my dad would have been 61.
Traditionally, my family celebrates by going out and getting ice cream, which my dad loved. ( He also really liked old movie theater popcorn, but I think we all try to forget about that one.) And as Texans, it
must be Bluebell. Each year my mom calls and ask me if we had our bluebell and each year I feel like I've sinned in some way with my pint of ben and jerrys. This year was no different, but to assuage my guilt we sang happy birthday twice and made a chocolate cake, Jonas was a big fan of both.
The above photo was taken just after a family trip to six flags water park. that ended in stitches after we went down a water slide together, which catapulted him into some cement steps. -- Sorry about that one Dad. Happy Birthday!

So cool to see where you get some of your looks--I can see a little Jonas there too! I need to celebrate my mom's b-day like that. Good idea.
