boston marathon

This picture doesn't do a good job at all of capturing the excitement of the marathon, just me and Jonas freezing our booties off with a few runners in the background. It was crazy, we were right at about mile 24, it smelt a little like puke when we got of the green line, but that soon faded. Apparently this is the biggest planned mass casualty event in the US every year, another reason not to run a marathon. Although yesterday I have to admit that the thought crossed my mind a few times. I thought we would see people struggling but for the most part the runners were smiling, talking on the cell phones and taking pictures of us. Maybe one day, but now that the excitement has died down, that day can wait.
